OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS OF ECONOMY, BUSINESS AND LAW OF KEU
1. GENERAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

1.1. Students undergoing professional practice (hereinafter students) are allowed to perform work only if they have the appropriate documents for the practice (contract and direction), completion of the introductory safety training, workplace safety training, and training in first aid to injured persons.

1.2. Conducting all types of training should be recorded in the journals of registration of briefings with mandatory signatures of the recipient and the instructor.

1.3. Every student must:
- know the location of the first aid kit;
- be able to provide first aid;
- know how to act correctly in case of fire.

1.4. The student should:
- leave outerwear, footwear, headwear in the wardrobe or other places intended for storing outerwear;
- have a neat appearance in accordance with business etiquette requirements;
- not eat at the workplace.

1.5. The work of students during professional practice may be accompanied by the presence of the following hazardous and harmful factors:
- working on personal computers – limited motor activity, monotony and significant visual stress;
- working with electrical appliances (lighting fixtures, household appliances, printer, scanner and other types of office equipment) – increased voltage electrical circuit;
- working outside the organization (on the way to and from the place of practice) – moving machines (cars and other types of vehicles), poor road conditions (icy conditions, road unevenness, etc.).

1.6. Rooms intended for workplaces equipped with personal computers should be equipped with sun protection devices (blinds, curtains, etc.).

1.7. All premises with personal computers must have natural and artificial lighting.

1.8. Open lamps (without fixtures) are prohibited in general and local lighting installations.

1.9. Artificial lighting at workplaces in rooms with personal computers should be carried out as a combined system of general and local lighting.

1.10. Local lighting should be provided by lamps installed directly on the desktop.

1.11. To combat dust in the air, it is necessary to carry out damp daily cleaning and regular ventilation of the premises.

1.12. The workplace must include: a desk, a chair (armchair) with an adjustable seat height.

1.13. Students are responsible in accordance with the current legislation for compliance with the requirements of this instruction.

2. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS BEFORE STARTING WORK

2.1. Arrive at work in advance to avoid rushing and, as a result, falls and injuries, while:
- do not run up or down the stairs;
- do not sit or lean on railings and random objects;
- pay attention to safety signs, signals and follow their requirements;
- do not start work in a state of alcohol or drug intoxication.

2.2. Inspect the workplace and equipment. Check that the workplace is equipped with the necessary equipment, inventory, devices, and tools for work. Remove all unnecessary items.

2.3. Clean the personal computer display screen from dust. Adjust the height and tilt angle of the screen.

2.4. Adjust the workplace lighting level.

2.5. Adjust the chair height. Check equipment for proper operation.

2.6. Report any deficiencies and malfunctions immediately to the practice supervisor and do not resume work until the deficiencies are corrected and permission is obtained from the supervisor.

3. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS DURING WORK

3.1. At workplaces equipped with personal computers:

3.1.1. The screen should be located below eye level by 5 degrees and be positioned in a direct plane or tilted towards the operator (15 degrees).

3.1.2. The distance from the operator's eyes to the screen should be within 60-80 cm.

3.1.3. The local light source relative to the workplace should be positioned in such a way as to exclude direct light from entering the eyes, and should provide uniform illumination on a surface of 40 x 40 cm, not create glare on the keyboard and other parts of the console, as well as on the video terminal screen in the direction of the worker's eyes.

3.1.4. To reduce visual and general fatigue, it is necessary to take breaks after every hour of work.

3.1.5. It is necessary to maintain order and cleanliness at the workplace throughout the working day. The screen display must be cleaned of dust at least once during the working shift. Remove scattered materials, accessories, products, spilled water, etc. from the floor in a timely manner.

3.1.6. During work, it is prohibited to:
- touch the back panel of the system unit (processor) when the power is on;
- switch the connectors of interface cables of peripheral devices when the power is on;
- clutter the upper panels of devices with papers and foreign objects;
- allow the workplace to become cluttered;
- turn off the power during the execution of an active task;
- allow moisture to come into contact with the surface of the system unit (processor), monitor, keyboard working surface, drives, printers and other devices;
- turn on equipment that is heavily cooled (brought from outside in winter);
- open and repair equipment on your own.

3.2. When working with electrical appliances and office equipment (personal computers, printers, scanners, copiers, faxes, household electrical appliances, lighting devices):

3.2.1. Automatic circuit breakers and electrical fuses must always be in good working order.

3.2.2. The insulation of electrical wiring, electrical appliances, switches, sockets, lamp holders and lamps, as well as cords through which electrical appliances are connected to the mains, must be in good working order.

3.2.3. Electrical appliances must be stored in a dry place, avoiding sharp fluctuations in temperature, vibration, and shock.

3.2.4. For heating water, use certified electrical appliances with a closed coil and automatic shut-off device, using non-combustible bases.

3.2.5. It is prohibited to:
- use faulty electrical appliances and electrical wiring;
- clean lighting fixtures and electric lamps while they are switched on;
- repair electrical appliances on your own;
- hang electrical wires on nails, metal and wooden objects, twist wires, run wires and cords along water pipes and heating batteries, hang anything on wires, pull the plug from the socket by the cord;
- touch the personal computer and devices connected to the ground (heating radiators, water taps, pipes, etc.) at the same time, as well as touch electrical wires, non-insulated and unguarded ones токоведущим частям электрических устройств, аппаратов и приборов (розеток, патронов, переключателей, предохранителей);
-Using household electrical appliances and portable lamps intended for indoor use outdoors;
- Using homemade electric heating devices and electrical appliances with exposed coils;
- Stepping on portable electrical wires lying on the floor.

3.3. In case of a power outage and when leaving the workplace, turn off the equipment.

3.4. On the way to the internship location and back:

3.5. Avoid extreme conditions on the way.

3.6. Follow traffic rules and public transport rules.

3.7. Be careful when going around vehicles and other obstacles that limit visibility of the road.

3.8. During unfavorable weather conditions (ice, snowfall, fog) be especially careful.

4. REQUIREMENTS OF LABOR PROTECTION IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

4.1. Immediately stop working, turn off the personal computer and other equipment, and report to the supervisor if:
- Mechanical damage and other defects in electrical equipment and wiring are detected;
- Excessively high noise level is observed during equipment operation;
- Elevated heat release from equipment is observed;
- Screen flickering does not stop;
- Text jumping is observed on the screen;
- A burning smell and smoke are detected;
- Electricity supply is cut off.

4.2. Do not resume work until the malfunctions are fully eliminated.

4.3. In case of fire or conflagration, employees (including students undergoing industrial practice) must immediately stop working, disconnect electrical appliances, call the fire brigade by phone 101, inform the supervisor and begin to eliminate the source of the fire with available fire extinguishing means.

4.4. In case of a gas smell in the room:
- warn employees in the room about the inadmissibility of using open flame, smoking, turning on and off electrical lighting and appliances;
- Open windows (vents, hatches) and ventilate the room;
- inform the organization's administration about this, and if necessary, call the gas emergency service by phone 104.

4.5. In case of an accident:
- Release the victim from the traumatic factor,
- Inform the head of the work,
- Provide first aid to the victim,
- If possible, keep the situation unchanged until the start of the investigation of the causes of the accident, if this does not lead to an accident or injury to other people,
- If necessary, call an ambulance by phone 103 or help deliver the victim to a medical facility.

5. OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS UPON WORK COMPLETION

5.1. Tidy up the workplace.

5.2. Turn off and de-energize the equipment.

5.3. When leaving the organization's building:
- make sure there is no moving transport;
- walk along sidewalks and pedestrian paths.
